Description
New Farm Cottage is a detached cottage dating from the 17th and 19th centuries. It features square-panelled timber-framing with struts and painted brick infill, along with a painted brick extension. The cottage has a thatched roof with decorative ridge thatching and brick stacks. The main body is rectangular timber-framed, with a 19th-century brick extension on the right gable end. The garden front is 1½ storeys high and includes a single eyebrow dormer. The windows are irregularly arranged, mostly consisting of 2 and 3-light casements with glazing bars, and there are single pitched planks over the ground-floor windows. The 17th-century part has a 19th-century plank door with a single pitched plank above it, alongside a blocked doorway to the left. There is also a 19th-century plank door leading to the extension on the right. The left gable end features a projecting stack, and there is an axial stack that was formerly a gable end stack. The interior has not been inspected.
