Description
The building is a probable former dovecote, dated and initialled HH/1732 on the keystone above a blocked window on the south-west front. It has been altered in the 19th century and is constructed of Flemish bond red brick with a red tile roof and a glazed lantern. The structure is two storeys high and features a projecting moulded cornice at the first-floor level at each corner. The south-east front has a central double plank door with a 19th-century segmental-headed surround, and a window with a segmental arched head made of alternating red and blue brick above it. Wooden steps lead up to the plank door on the north-east face. The gables are cross-ridged and topped with ball finials. The interior contains very few indications of pigeon holes, whether blocked or unblocked.
