Description
Court Cottages is a semi-detached estate house dated and initialled RJY (John Yorke) 1899, located in Forthampton. The building features a plastered panel situated between the ground and first floor of a two-storey bay window. It is likely designed by architect Philip Webb. The structure is primarily brick, with the first floor rendered and includes timber framing. It has a red tile roof and brick stacks, with a rectangular plan.
A 20th-century single-storey extension at the rear is not of special interest. The front of the house has a pair of part-glazed three-panelled doors beneath a lean-to roof, with a two-storey timber-framed bay window to the left, which is lit by paired two-light casements. Above, there is a four-light casement on the first floor. A brick band separates the ground and first floors. The gablet roof features tall stacks with round-headed arched recesses opposite the gablets. The interior has not been inspected.
