Description
The stable block at Forthampton Court was built around 1788 by Anthony Keck for Rev. James Yorke. It is constructed of red brick and features a red tile roof with a rectangular plan and one and a half storeys. The upper floor is illuminated by two half dormers that have glazing bar casements, which flank a central gable that includes a clock and a pitching door. On the ground floor, there is a central round-headed archway, with two glazing-bar casements on either side set within segmental-headed surrounds. A band runs between the ground and first floor, and there is a brick parapet on the forward-facing gable and gable ends. Additionally, there is a central wooden bell lantern with a pyramidal roof. The interior has not been inspected.
