Description
Gothic Cottage is a detached cottage located on Oldbury Road in Tewkesbury, facing Stephens Alley. It was built in the early 19th century and features a brick construction with a hipped tile roof and brick stacks. The cottage is two storeys high and has two windows on the front, all with pointed arches and 2-light leaded transomed casements. The right return of the building is plain and has two large eaves stacks, while the left return has blind openings on the first floor above a central 19th-century door that is topped by a 4-pane transom light. The back of the cottage has 20th-century casements. The front displays brick dentil eaves and Flemish brickwork with fine joints, while the right return is made of smaller bricks, primarily in stretcher bond with wide joints, giving it an appearance similar to 17th-century walling. The interior has not been inspected.
