Description
Homeacre is a detached cottage built in the mid-19th century. It features Flemish bond brickwork and a tiled roof with gable-end brick stacks. The cottage is two stories high and has a three-window front. The central entrance consists of a planked door topped by a 20th-century flat wooden hood supported by pilasters. On either side of the door, there is a three-light cast-iron casement window with a rubbed brick hood mould and a flat arch. The first floor has three-light cast-iron casements flanking a two-light cast-iron casement, all with cambered flat arches and hood moulds made of rubbed brick. The right and left sides of the cottage are windowless. Attached to the left side is a 20th-century single-storey extension, while a garage is located to the right. At the rear, there is a 20th-century casement window to the left and a cast-iron casement window to the right on the ground floor, with cast-iron casements on the first floor. The interior has not been inspected. Homeacre is included for its group value with Box Cottage.
