Description

Pheasant Cottage is a detached cottage dating from the late 17th century, with some rebuilding around 1800. It features a distinctive design with chalk and flint chequers and a thatched roof, along with brick stacks. The cottage is single-storey with an attic and has two windows. The entrance is a planked door located to the right of the center, sheltered by a 20th-century weatherboarded porch. To the right of the door is a two-light casement window, while to the left there is a three-light casement and a fixed window. The cottage also has two eyebrow dormers, each with two-light casements. The left side has metal casements on both the ground and attic floors, while the right side features small casements on both levels. At the rear, there are French windows and a 20th-century casement window on the ground floor. Attached to the left side is a 20th-century lean-to extension. The interior is reported to have a timber-framed partition on the first floor.
