Description
Bridge Cottage is a detached cottage dating from the late 17th century and 18th century, with alterations made around 1960. The exterior features flint and limestone chequers and a tiled roof with brick stacks. It is two stories high and has a three-window east front. The entrance consists of a four-panelled door set in a gabled porch. To the right of the door is a 2-light recessed chamfered mullioned casement, while to the left are two 2-light casements. On the first floor, there are two 2-light recessed chamfered mullioned casements to the right and a gabled dormer with a 2-light casement to the left. A single-storey extension from the 1960s is attached to the left, featuring casements, with an outhouse connected to the right. The left side of the cottage displays a large external stone stack with offsets. At the rear, there are 4-light and 2-light casements to the left and two 2-light casements to the right, one of which is set in a blocked doorway. The first floor of the left range has a 4-light casement, while the right side has two 2-light mullioned casements. Inside, the cottage features chamfered beams and blocked open fireplaces.
