Description
Kingfisher Cottage is a detached cottage dating from the late 17th century, with a bay added to the west and a north wall that was rebuilt in the late 18th century. The north wall features Flemish garden wall bond brick on a flint plinth, while the south wall is constructed of flint and brick. The cottage has a thatched roof that is half-hipped to the right and includes brick stacks. It is one storey high with an attic and has two windows.
To the right, there is a planked door located in the 18th-century bay. To the left of the door are two 2-light segmental-headed casements, and to the right is one 2-light casement. A three-brick plat band runs along the first floor, and there are two eyebrow dormers, each with 2-light casements. Attached to the right is a 20th-century flat-roofed extension, which is not of special interest. The rear of the cottage has two 2-light casements and one central eyebrow dormer with a 2-light casement.
Inside, the cottage features chamfered beams with shaped stops.
