Description
No. 69 High Street is a house at the end of a row, now used as offices, dating from the 1830s. The building is rendered with a slate roof and brick stacks. It consists of two parallel ranges set at an angle, featuring a parapeted front. The structure has three storeys and a basement, with a two-windowed facade. The windows include 12-pane sashes in moulded architraves with plain cills. On the ground floor, there is one triple sash window with bars, and to the right, a 20th-century glazed door beneath a margin-pane transom light, also in a moulded architrave. A small basement opening is located in the center. The building has a plinth, two plain string courses, a moulded cornice, and blocking with a raised central panel. A 20th-century brick stack is positioned at the back left. The rear, which is also rendered, features a large 12-pane sash window and a very large composite window at the second floor beneath a swept-down section of the roof. The interior has not been inspected.
