Description
Hoots is a detached cottage located on Chapmanslade Wood Lane, dating from the early 18th century. The building is rendered with a tiled roof and features rendered brick stacks. It is two stories tall and has one window on the front facade. There is a 20th-century planked door in a lean-to porch on the left side, a 4-light cyma-mullioned casement window, and a 3-light casement window to the right. A lean-to extension on the left has a 2-light casement window. On the first floor, there is a 4-light cyma-mullioned casement window. The right side of the building has a 2-light attic casement window above a lean-to garage, while the left side features a small 2-light casement and a fixed window on the first floor. The rear of the cottage is windowless. Inside, there is a corner open fireplace with a timber lintel and a chamfered beam with ogee stops.
