Description
Chances Pitch is a detached cottage dating from the early 18th century, with alterations made in the 20th century. It is constructed of dressed limestone and features a tiled roof with brick stacks. The cottage is two stories high and has three windows, all fitted with casements. There is a planked door located in a gabled 19th-century porch to the left of center. To the right of the door, there are two 2-light steel casements with flat brick arches and stone keys above, and one 2-light steel casement with the same style of head to the left. On the first floor, there are three 2-light casements. The right side of the cottage has a 2-light steel casement with a flat brick arched head on the ground floor and another steel casement on the first floor. A lean-to garage is attached to the left side of the building. At the rear, there is an integral outshut featuring 20th-century casements, along with a 20th-century two-storey flat-roofed extension to the right. The interior has not been inspected.
