Description
Hallowed Mead is a detached cottage dating from the late 17th century. It is constructed of dressed limestone and features a corrugated asbestos roof, which was formerly thatched, along with a brick stack on the left side. The cottage is two stories high and has two windows. The central entrance consists of a half-glazed door set in a chamfered stone surround, topped by a gabled canopy. To the left of the door is a three-light chamfered mullioned casement, while to the right is a two-light chamfered mullioned casement. On the first floor, there are a three-light and a two-light mullioned casement. The roof has coped verges.
Attached to the left side of the cottage is a single-storey 19th-century extension, which includes a half-glazed door and a two-light casement. The right side of the building features a two-light mullioned casement on both the ground floor and the attic, along with an attached garage. At the rear, there is an integral outshut that has two-light casements. Inside, the cottage has chamfered beams with run-out stops and an open fireplace with a chamfered cambered lintel set on chamfered stone jambs.
