Description
The hexagonal annexe to the west of Wardour Castle is a service outhouse from the early 19th century that was converted into a dwelling in the late 19th century. It is constructed from limestone ashlar and features a Welsh slate roof with ashlar stacks. The building is two storeys tall and has two windows. There is a single-storey late 19th-century extension to the north, along with an attached 20th-century extension and porch.
On the west side, there are two 2-light chamfered mullioned casements on the ground floor and one on the first floor. The south and south-east sides have blocked round-arched openings, while the south side features a 3-light chamfered mullioned casement on both the ground and first floors. A hexagonal leaded vent is located at the apex of the roof. The interior has not been inspected. It is reputed that this building was originally a brewhouse, situated in the corner of the courtyard to the west of the Chapel, and adjacent to the Dairy.
