Description

Pinchin Cottage is a detached cottage dating from the late 17th to mid-18th century, with 20th-century additions. It is constructed of limestone rubble with a stone slate roof and ashlar stacks, one of which is truncated and the other repaired with dressed stone in the 20th century. The building has a rectangular plan, with a single-bay 20th-century extension forming an entrance porch at the right gable end. It is one and a half storeys in height. The upper floor is lit by two two-light stone-mullioned casements, each with a gable over. A three-light stone-mullioned casement is located on the lower level to the left. To the right of a 20th-century plank door are two three-light stone-mullioned casements with stopped hoods, all sheltered by a flat 20th-century stone hood. All windows include horizontal glazing bars. A small single light is positioned in the left gable end. The interior of the cottage has not been inspected.
