Description
Chapmanslade Primary School is a primary school built in 1866-67 by G.E. Street. It is constructed from coursed rubble stone and features a steeply pitched tiled roof with ceramic ridge cresting. The building is single-storey. The south front has three-light mullioned casements on either side of a central three-light mullioned and transomed window, which is topped with a gable. To the right, there is a pointed planked door with ornamental hinges set in a lean-to porch. The right and left returns each have three-light chamfered mullioned and transomed casements. A lean-to covered passage on the right return includes three single chamfered casements and a shouldered half-glazed door to the right. At the rear, single-storey ranges enclose a yard, with the left range featuring a planked door and a three-light mullioned window above it. The interior has not been inspected.
