Description

The dovecote at Millhampost Farm was built in 1708, as indicated by a datestone. It is constructed from coursed, well-squared stone and features a stone slate roof. The structure is square and has two storeys. There are stone steps leading up to a boarded door on the upper floor, which has a timber lintel. On the left side, there is another boarded door with a timber lintel at the ground floor, along with a small window with a stone lintel in the gable. The dovecote has gabled roofs on all four sides, a central glover, louvred sides, and a pyramid roof topped with an iron weathervane. It forms a group with the nearby farmhouse.
