Description
Millhampost Farmhouse is a 17th-century farmhouse that has undergone alterations, likely in the 18th, 19th, and 20th centuries. It features coursed, squared stone and timber-framing with rendered panels, and one wall is rough-rendered. The building has an 'L' plan, measuring four by two, and is two storeys high, with a single-storey infill at the rear.
The south-facing garden front has stone on the left end, a narrow band of stone up the right corner, and render over a stone plinth in between, which is likely built on brick or stone. There are four mid-20th century three-light metal casements on each floor. The roof is hipped, and there is a ridge chimney located to the right of the center.
The right side of the building is stone and features two three-light mullioned windows on each floor, with the lower windows having hoodmoulds. There is a parapet gable at the right end and another ridge chimney. The rear wall of the long range is timber-framed, and there is a low timber-framed wing extending off the left end at the rear, with infill from the 20th century. The farmhouse forms a group with the dovecote nearby. The interior has not been inspected.
