Description
The Old House, located to the west of No. 69, is an 18th-century house that was altered in the 19th century. It is constructed of coursed, roughly squared stone with ashlar dressings around the openings and features a stone slate roof. The front of the house has three windows and is one room deep, standing at two and a half storeys with a single-storey rear wing.
On the road side, all the windows are 3-light mullions with iron opening lights and stone lintels. The entrance features a half-glazed door with small panes and two flush panels below, topped by a stone lintel. To the right of the door is a window with a deep stone lintel, and to the left are two additional windows. Above the entrance, there are three more windows.
The house has a gabled dormer on the left with a 2-light casement and a double gabled dormer on the right with paired 2-light casements. The gables of the right dormer display exposed timber framing. Ashlar chimneys with moulded caps are located at the gables and on the ridge, one bay from the left end.
