Description

This is an unidentified medieval monument located in the churchyard by a path, approximately 17 meters south of the southwest corner of the Church of St George in Stanway Didbrook. The monument is a short cross slab made of stone, measuring about 1.25 meters long and tapering towards the foot. It features a carved trefoil head with finials on each side at the foot. Beneath the trefoil head, there is a head, and the long shaft has a cross piece on one side only, with a curved foot. The edges of the slab are chamfered, and it rests on a smaller single slab that forms its base.
