Description
69 Didbrook is a house dating from the 17th century, with 19th-century alterations and changes made in the 20th century. It features timber framing with rendered infill and plinth, as well as coursed, squared stone and stone slates. The house is three bays wide, one room deep, and has one and a half storeys, with a single-storey lean-to on one end.
The façade facing the road has timber framing on the left, consisting of three panels high, with three-light and two-light casement windows that have leaded lights. On the right side, there is a boarded door accessed by one wooden step beneath a timber lintel, alongside a three-light casement window with a concrete lintel and a single-light window in the gable of the lean-to. A three-light casement window is also present in a gabled dormer. There are two ashlar chimneys: one located just behind the ridge to the left of the door and another on the ridge of the right gable, with the wall thickened locally below.
Inside, there is an exposed ceiling beam with a heavy chamfer and exposed joists in the left room, which can be seen from the road. The rest of the interior has not been inspected.
