Description

The dovecote located north-north-west of Gate House on Barnack Main Street dates from 1774, though it is likely from the early 18th century. It is constructed of coursed stone and has a rectangular shape. The roof is steeply pitched and covered with pantiles, featuring coped gable ends. Above the doorway, there is a datestone inscribed with the initials "G.J.A. 1774". Inside, the dovecote is lined with brick and contains nesting boxes along with stone ledges.
