Description
No. 52 High Street is a large house that is part of a terrace, dating from the early 18th century. It is constructed of brick on a tall rubble plinth and features a pantile roof with brick end stacks that have oversailing courses. The house is a single range with a rear wing and has two storeys.
The façade includes five windows, which are 12-pane sashes with moulded wood architraves. Originally, the ground floor had two similar windows, but now only one remains on the left side. Next to this window is a low six-panel door with fielded panels, also featuring a moulded wood architrave and a large flat wooden hood supported by plain brackets. To the right of the door, there is a second door that replaces a window; this door is half-glazed and has two lower fielded panels. A small hopper light is situated between the two doors.
