Description
No. 44 High Street is a cottage located at the end of a terrace, dating from the early to mid-18th century. It is constructed of brick and features a pantile roof with a large brick end stack on the left side. The building is a single range, standing two storeys high with an attic. On the first floor, there is a small Venetian window, while the ground floor has a canted bay window with 8/12/8-pane sashes and a moulded wood cornice. The original entrance door on the right has been blocked, and access is now through a side passage. An attic window is present in the gable end. This cottage is included in the listing primarily for its group value with other nearby structures.
