10/62 Watts and unidentified Monument, about 8m west of south-west buttress of tower in churchyard of Church of St Mary the Virgin.

GV II

2 chest tombs; James Watts, died 1806 (to south) and unidentified, early C19. Limestone. Flat tops, moulded plinth and capping. Watts monument on large base, formerly railed. Indented corners. Ends have diamond frieze and oval panels with draped urn to east and flaming torch in urn to west. Sides have large oval inscription panels with swag. Inscription on north. Unidentified monument on small base with 1/4 baluster corners, sunk oval end panels. Sides have raised ovals with rosettes in spandrels, inscriptions indecipherable. South east corner of Watts monument missing.
