Description

A group of three unidentified monuments, located about 4 meters north of the Tayler monument in the churchyard of the Church of St. Mary the Virgin, date from the mid to late 18th century. These almost identical chest tombs are made of limestone and feature flat tops, large moulded plinths, and capping. The ends are flattened lyres with fluted returns, and the west side of the outer tombs has a cartouche while the east side displays a swag with a base shell; this is reversed for the middle tomb. The sides of the tombs are adorned with large moulded rectangular panels that have eared corners.
