Description
This group of three monuments is located in the churchyard immediately east of the south transept of the Church of the Holy Trinity in Minchinhampton. Dating from the late 17th century to the mid-18th century, the group consists of one pedestal tomb and two chest tombs made of limestone.
The pedestal tomb features finely carved bowed ends, with a trophy on the west side and cherubs' heads on the east. It has a leaf-enriched frieze topped with an egg and dart cornice and a moulded plinth. The first chest tomb has bulbous ends, small oval panels, recessed side panels, and a thick cavetto top. The second chest tomb has moulded ends, with the east side displaying an egg and dart enriched panel. Unfortunately, all inscriptions on the monuments are illegible.
