Description

UPAVON - SU 15 NW 2/138 Group of 3 unidentified monuments in graveyard, 11m north of chancel Church of St. Mary GV II Group of 3 chest tombs. All C18, of limestone. From north:- a) Chest tomb with hipped top, columned sides with reeded frieze, and oval panels. Inscription illegible. b) Cyma table, base concealed. Two side shields defined by fluted pilasters, and Ionic cornice. Inscription illegible c) Cavetto table, base concealed. Two side shields defined by fluted pilasters and Ionic cornice. Inscription illegible.
