Description
The Antelope Inn is an inn built in 1765, possibly incorporating elements from 1655. It is constructed of brick with stone quoins and dressings, featuring two storeys, cellars, and an attic. The building has seven window bays, but only four on the ground floor, which includes a door in the third bay. The ground floor is raised six steps above the cellar, with slit vents visible. The ground floor windows are paired 12-pane sashes, while the upper floor windows have segmental headed architraves and keystones. There is a moulded stone string and eaves, and the right gable end features a blind arch. The inn was extended in the 18th century with a single-storey room on the right that has a gable canted bay, and further extended to the rear in the 19th century with a single-storey wing and attic. There is also a billiard room from the 19th to early 20th century on the right.
