The Ship Inn is an inn dating from the early 18th century, located on the east side of Upavon High Street. The building features painted brickwork with pebbledash on the first floor, which is above a moulded string. It has a thatched roof and stands two storeys high. The central section has four bays, with a one-bay extension to the left and a two-bay dwelling to the right, which is slightly set back but under the same roof. The extensions have panelled doors topped with thatched hoods. The windows include sixteen-pane sashes, except for the right extension, which has twelve-pane sashes. The roof is hipped and has two brick stacks. There are various extensions at the rear. Inside, the central block features chamfered ceiling beams.
