Description

This is an unidentified chest tomb located about 6 meters north of the Pick monument in the churchyard of the Church of St Mary the Virgin. It dates from the late 18th century and is made of limestone. The tomb features a flat top with a moulded plinth and capping on a tall base. The corners are designed with quarter balusters, and the end panels are sunk and rectangular, with rounded projections at the top and bottom. The sides have double moulded rectangular panels with eared corners. At the time of the survey in November 1984, the tomb was leaning to the northwest.
