Description

The Pick Monument is a chest tomb located about 4.5 meters north of the Tainton Monument in the churchyard of the Church of St. Mary the Virgin. It commemorates Sarah Pick, who died in 1769, among others. The tomb is made of limestone and features a flat top with a large moulded plinth and capping. The ends are designed in a flattened lyre shape, with a cartouche on the east side and a swag on the west side. The sides of the tomb have sunk rectangular panels with eared corners, and there is an inscription on the south side.
