ST 69 NE BERKELEY CHURCH LANE (Inset, Section D) (south side)

10/77 Unidentified Monument, about 4m west-north-west of north-west pier of porch in churchyard of Church of St. Mary the Virgin.

GV II

Chest tomb, earliest decipherable inscription 1762. Limestone. Flat top, moulded plinth and capping on base. Flattened lyre ends with swag and shell at base to west, cartouche to east. Plain sunk inscription panels to sides with eared corners, inscriptions indecipherable. Base breaking up on south side at time of survey (November 1984).
