Description

This is a chest tomb from the late 17th century, located immediately north-west of the Thomas Pearce Monument in the churchyard of the Church of St. Mary the Virgin. It is made of limestone and features a flat top with a heavy moulded capping and an unmoulded plinth. The end panels are plain and fielded, while the side panels are divided and have very low relief surround strips. At the time of the survey in November 1984, the tomb was noted to be breaking up on the sides and top.
