Description
The Watts and Holliday monuments are two chest tombs located in the churchyard, 11 metres south of the south chapel of the Church of St. Mary. The tombs date from the late 18th century and early 19th century and are made of limestone and sandstone. The eastern tomb features a moulded table and base with recessed corner balusters, commemorating Richard Watts, who died in 1775. The western tomb is taller, also with a moulded table and base and recessed corner balusters, dedicated to Richard Holliday, who died in 1836, and his wife Mary, who died in 1823.
