Description
No. 38 High Street is a house in a terrace, dating from the mid to late 18th century. It is constructed of painted brick on a stone plinth, featuring a brick string course and a slate roof with brick end stacks. The building has a single range and is two storeys high, comprising three bays. The upper storey has two windows with 16-pane sashes, which are adorned with moulded architraves and segmental heads. The ground floor also has two similar windows, and the entrance door is slightly to the right of centre. This door is recessed within a segmental arch and has a moulded wooden architrave, with four panels where the top two are recessed and the lower two are fielded.
