Description
Nos 13 and 15 on High Street are a pair of early 19th-century houses that form part of a terrace. They are built of brick and feature a moulded stone cornice. No 13 has a concrete tile roof, while No 15 has a slate roof, both with brick chimney stacks. The houses are two storeys high and have a total of five windows, consisting of 16-pane sash windows, arranged as two for No 13 and three for No 15. The design is symmetrical, with an altered casement window in the center of the ground floor, flanked by two round-headed doorways that have radial fanlights and 20th-century doors. At the extreme ends, there are shop fronts, with the one on the right (No 15) featuring a moulded wood dentil cornice and frieze supported by decorative consoles, along with a canted plate glass shop window divided into four segmental head panels by thin iron colonettes. No 13 has a flat front with 20th-century infill windows. These houses are included in the register primarily for their group value with No 28 High Street, which is located opposite.
