Description
No. 7 High Street is a small house located on the corner of a terrace, dating from the late 18th century to early 19th century, with an earlier rendered section on the right that likely dates from the late 17th century to early 18th century. The building is constructed of brick, with incised render on the right side, and features a concrete tile roof and brick stacks. It is a single range with small rear extensions and consists of two storeys.
The main brick section has two 12-pane sash windows with moulded wood architraves. The ground floor includes a corner shop front with two large plate glass windows that meet at the corner, along with half-glazed double doors that form a semi-circle, leading up to two semi-circular stone steps. This entire section is topped with a moulded dentil cornice, supported by moulded panelled pilasters that feature a circular motif at the frieze level. To the right, there is a small square bay with a moulded cornice, a 6-panel door with fielded panels, and the rendered section includes a 4-light wood mullion window on each floor, as well as a twin casement window in a flat-roofed dormer.
