Description
No. 5 St Chad's Terrace is a house dating from the mid-18th century. It is constructed of brick and has a plain tiled roof. The building stands three storeys high and features a three-window range. The central entrance consists of a six-panelled door set within a moulded architrave. To the left of the door is a tripartite sash window, while to the right is a casement window. On the upper floors, there are two flush-framed 12-pane sash windows, with a single ring cambered head on the left window and an arched head on the central window. The space for the right-hand window is blocked. Above, there is a central dormer window. A string course runs above the ground floor, and the eaves cornice is dentilled. There is also a stack located on the front wall at the left-hand corner.
