Description

A pair of late 18th-century houses, now offices, are located on Quarry Place in Shrewsbury. The buildings are constructed of brick with Welsh slate roofs, and they extend three stories over basements, each with a three-window front. Each building features an outer door set within a Doric case with a flat entablature, and 12-pane sash windows with flat-arched gauged brick heads. A sill band runs along the first floor, and there is a stuccoed eaves cornice and parapet. An end wall stack is present. A two-storey extension adjoins the upper side of the buildings. Associated with the houses are cast-iron spearhead railings enclosing the basement area.
