Description
27 and 28 Town Walls are a pair of houses, now used for commercial purposes, dating from around 1800. They are constructed of brick and topped with a Welsh slate roof. The buildings are two stories high with basements and each features a three-window range. The outer doors are six-panelled and set within panelled architraves, while the paired twelve-pane sash windows have flat-arched brick heads, with a central space for a blind window. The eaves are plain and overhanging, and the gables are coped, with end wall and axial stacks. There are cast-iron railings surrounding the basement area, which have urn and spearhead finials. Additionally, a heavy cast-iron lantern with a leaded cap is mounted on a long bracket that projects from the wall of No. 27.
