Description
This house dates from around 1800. It is constructed of brick with a plain tiled roof. The property is two storeys high and has a three-window front, with a projecting gable to the right. The central entrance features a four-panelled door set within a simple architrave, leading up steps with cast-iron railings. There is a sixteen-pane sash window to the left on each floor, and a twelve-pane sash window above the doorway. A lower window is blind, and there is a sixteen-pane sash window above in the right-hand bay. A plain wood eaves cornice overhangs. An axial stack is present. Sections of a 13th-century town wall, built of coursed and squared sandstone with flat copings, adjoin the house on both sides.
