Description
The pair of houses at 7 and 8 Quarry Place date from the mid-18th century. They are constructed of brick, with a plain tiled roof. Each house has two storeys and a three-window front. Number 8 has a central six-panelled door with an overlight and moulded architrave. The doorway to number 7 is superimposed on a former opening, with the arched brick head of the original opening still visible. Both houses have twelve-pane sash windows with arched brick heads. There are two dormers in the roof. A dentil band runs along the eaves. A string course runs across number 7. An axial stack is present on number 7. The houses demonstrate group value in their arrangement along Quarry Place.
