Description

This is an early 17th-century house located on St John's Hill, part of a larger former dwelling that included No. 17. The building was later altered. It is constructed of painted brick, with a plain tiled roof. The house is two storeys high with a three-window front. It features tall gabled dormers and irregular window placement on the ground floor. There are three 12-pane sash windows beneath the gables, and an additional 4-pane sash window in the right-hand bay. The front door is a six-panel design with an architrave, panelled rebates, and a canopy supported by consoles, positioned to the left of centre. Bargeboards adorn the gables. Two axial chimney stacks are present. Some disturbances in the brickwork suggest a possible alteration or refronting at some point.
