Description

No. 12 Swan Hill is a house, originally part of a terrace of five dwellings, built in the middle of the 18th century and enlarged in the late 18th or early 19th century. It is constructed of brick with a plain tiled roof. The house is three storeys high and features a three-window front, with a doorway on the left-hand side. The doorway has an 8-panelled door topped with a steep, pedimented head. The windows are 12-pane, flush-framed sashes with wide surrounds and flat-arched, gauged brick heads. The ground floor fenestration is interrupted by single-storey brick extensions, which conceal the forecourt. An upper storey was added, likely in the middle of the 19th century. The eaves have a parapet, and there is a gable end stack.
