Description

This is a mid-18th century house, originally part of a terrace of five dwellings, located on Swan Hill in Shrewsbury. It was enlarged in the late 18th or early 19th century. The house is built of brick and has a plain tiled roof. It is three storeys high with a three-window front. A six-panelled door with an overlight is set into the left side of the facade. The windows are 12-pane, flush-framed sashes with wide cases and flat-arched gauged brick heads. The ground-floor fenestration is partially obscured by single-storey brick extensions built forward to the forecourt. An upper storey was added, possibly in the mid-19th century, and is noticeably later than that of the neighbouring properties. The roofline has a parapet, and a gable end stack is visible.
