Description

Bannutt Tree House is a detached house built in the early 18th century, with early 19th-century Gothic-style windows. The structure is made of random and coursed rubble limestone, featuring ashlar chimneys and a stone slate roof. It is two stories tall with an attic and has a single-storey addition on the northwest side.

The southeast front has a doorway located to the left of the center, which features an ogee arched head and a small-paned glazed door, topped with an ogee fanlight that has Y-shaped glazing bars. There are four Venetian windows, two on each floor, each with a pointed central arch and small-paned casements. The roof has two cambered dormers, each with small-paned casements.

On the northeast end, the house has a gabled design with a rendered two-storey canted bay that includes Gothic windows on each face. The northwest side features the projecting single-storey addition. There is an off-centre lateral chimney with rebuilt paired diagonal shafts, a cambered roof dormer to the right, and single and two-light chamfered mullioned casements, along with part of a formerly continuous dripmould. An ashlar chimney is mounted on the gable at the southwest end. The interior has not been inspected.
