Description

The Chestnuts is a building from the 18th century located in Bowerbridge. It is constructed of coursed rubble with an ashlar facade and has two storeys. The building features five windows, which are double-hung sash with glazing bars. There is a continuous sill at the first floor and a band course at floor level. A moulded stone cornice and blocking course adorn the top of the structure, which has a hipped slate roof. The entrance door is complemented by a fanlight and is flanked by three-quarter Tuscan pilasters and a pediment, with five steps leading up to it.
