Description

This is a large detached house, built in the 18th and 19th centuries. The front facing the street is of rubble or squared rubble construction, with a rendered and ashlar front on the garden side, and a stone slate roof. The house has an L-shaped plan with a projecting semi-circular section facing the garden. There are two small gables on the street front. The garden front is two storeys high with dormers; it has two-light casement windows in the dormers, and other windows with sash windows under segmental arches, lacking glazing bars. The projecting section includes a single arched sash window with radial bars, and a panelled door. The street-facing facade has three storeys in the gabled end section, and a two-storey section with two windows, including one blocked opening; this part of the elevation is of late Victorian style.
