Description

This is an early 19th-century detached house located on Well Hill in Minchinhampton. The house is constructed of coursed rubble limestone with ashlar chimneys and a stone slate roof. It is two storeys high. The north front features a variety of nine-pane sash windows from the 19th century. There are two doorways, one on the left with a plank door, and another situated within an angle leading to a projecting wing on the right, which has a 20th-century door. The projecting wing also has two east-facing sashes, each with glazing bars to the upper sash only. The east end of the house has three small casements and sashes. An attached retaining wall forms the boundary to the street. A single-storey addition to the rear is not considered to be of particular architectural interest. The interior has not been inspected. Despite its modest architectural detail, the building partially obstructs the view at the south end of the upper level of Well Hill.
